The Sihi Hohto series was developed in close collaboration with legendary Finnish drummer Kai Hahto — best known for his work with Nightwish and Wintersun. Kai had a clear vision: cymbals that are bright yet controllable, capable of cutting through huge walls of sound while remaining musical and expressive.

The Hohto Crash Cymbals were built to bring that vision to life. They produce a fairly bright tone with long sustain and strong volume, making them perfect for both live performance and recording. Whether you’re crashing above layered guitars or laying in textures for cinematic builds, these cymbals stay articulate, open up easily, and never get lost in the mix.

Available in 14″ to 22″, the crashes come in medium and medium-thin weights, offering a dynamic range that responds quickly without losing power. The traditional finish gives a classic look and smooth tonal spread, while maintaining shimmer and presence.

Tonally, the Hohto Crash sits in the mid-high to high pitch range with a sharp initial attack, lush overtones, and a beautiful, controlled decay. The long sustain gives the sound space to resonate without feeling overbearing. Volume is in the medium-high zone, ideal for heavy music, orchestral rock, or any setup where the crash needs to command attention.

Kai Hahto’s complete Hohto setup was crafted not just for performance, but for longevity — a cymbal set that can serve a drummer’s entire career. Each cymbal is hand-hammered in Istanbul using premium B20 bronze, crafted by expert cymbalsmiths with attention to every detail.
