The Louhi series of unlathed, cheap jazz cymbals was born from a collaboration with the “Matka Rumpujen Maailmaan” drum channel, with a clear goal: create cymbals that feel at home in quieter venues, acoustic settings and more introspective music. The result is a family of dark, dry and musical cymbals. They open easily but stay controlled, supporting the music instead of fighting it.

Crashes respond instantly with a smoky, short decay. Hi-hats deliver a tight, earthy chick and woody stick sound in the medium-low volume range. Rides provide a deep, subtle tone that can bloom into a beautiful wash when pushed, without overwhelming the mix.

Within the Sihi family, the Louhi series is often described as the Sysi line’s “dry uncle” – a darker, drier and softer voice. For players who prefer earthy, organic cymbal textures. Named after Louhi, a powerful matriarchal figure from Finnish mythology, this series embodies character, depth and quiet authority.
