Kaski dark ride

The Sihi Kaski Dark Ride is built for drummers who want a ride with more warmth, a bit more darkness and a smoother top end than the regular Kaski. It has a thinner body and a lower feel under the stick which gives the sound a softer and deeper character. The raw bell still gives enough definition but the overall voice is warmer and more controlled.

Offered in 18, 20, 21 and 22 inch sizes. The Kaski Dark Ride sits in the medium thin to thin range. The 21 inch model weighs around 2300 grams. This weight keeps the cymbal responsive and musical. The surface is traditionally lathed with a raw bell. The raw section gives a focused attack and the lathing adds a gentle spread without making the cymbal bright.

Tonally, the Kaski Dark Ride lives in the mid low to mid range. Stick definition stays clear but never sharp. The wash is darker and softer than the regular Kaski. Sustain is medium short so the tone opens and fades in a natural way. Volume is medium which makes the cymbal easy to control in small rooms, louder stages and everything between.

You can use it for steady ride patterns, soft comping or stronger accents. It handles delicate playing beautifully but still responds when you put more power into it. The darker voicing makes it a great choice for studio work, blues, roots, jazz rock or any music where you want a warm and controlled ride sound.
